The Visionary Art Show (VAS) consists of the 75 paintings by the contemporary masters of Visionary Art.
The Poster Show, and the Huichol Exhibit, while part of the Visionary Art Show, are not mandatory and should be considered optional.
Visionary Art Show offers it’s executive curator’s assistance in working with the museums curator in order to arrange for the loans from other institutions for works of the original masters cited in the DVD, which are not included in our exhibition.
BOOKING INFORMATION
Participation Fees
A nonrefundable 50% down payment is due upon execution of the loan agreement. 25% is due 90 days prior to the opening date, and the final 25% upon receipt of the exhibition. If needed, extended payment terms may be arranged with a nominal financing charge.
Shipping and Insurance
Unless otherwise arranged, the VAS will provide all shipping arrangements. Venue will pay all costs for round trip acclimatized shipping except if the show has an immediate subsequent booking, in which case the venue only pays shipping expenses into their institution. The venue is to provide a Certificate of Insurance (all risk) including the shipping, or else to purchase insurance through the MMAT.
Lighting, temperature and humidity
All loan agreements are subject to an acceptable facilities report. Lighting, temperature and humidity readings must be per AAM conservation standards. No works may be hung in direct sunlight or within the convection area of a heating unit. Lenders may in certain cases impose additional requirements.
Condition Reports
Venues to prepare incoming and outgoing condition reports on each piece.
Signage
The VAS will provide individual object label text as a Microsoft Word document, and wall panel text as either Microsoft Word or Quark Xpress, for a modest charge, the VAS will fabricate the panels and labels to the venues specifications.
Publicity
120 days prior to the opening date, the VASwill provide venues with a simple press release as well as publicity photographs for the show.
Consultation
The VAS will make available an on site consultant who will assist in the unpacking, installation, production, and help with coordination, staging and other related events (advertising and promotion).
